Ingredients for the sweet tart crust recipe

 •    Flour 250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour
    •    Butter 125g (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, cold and diced
    •    Sugar  1 tbsp sugar
    •    1 large egg
    •    2 drops of vanilla concentrate
    •    A pinch of salt

Instructions

 1.    Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt.
    2.    Incorporate the butter: Add the cold, diced butter and work it into the dry ingredients with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. If ever you will prefer to have soft butter, the consistency will be different, not crumbly
    3.    Add the wet ingredients: Make a well in the center and add the egg and vanilla concentrate. Mix gently with a fork, then bring the dough together with your hands.
    4.    Adjust consistency: If the dough is too dry, add 1–2 teaspoons of cold water, but avoid over mixing. The dough should be smooth and cohesive.
    5.    Chill the dough: Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
    6.    Roll and prepare: Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, then transfer it to your tart pan. Press it gently into the pan and trim the edges.
    7.    Bake: Pre-bake (blind bake) if your recipe requires, or fill and bake as directed in your tart recipe.
